About me
Olá! My name is Fabíola Maciel.
I'm Portuguese, but I consider myself someone who belongs to the World. I've studied Journalism, but ended up falling in love with having the sky as my office view. I've been a Flight Attendant for more than 9 years, visited 43 countries on my trips and every single time I end a trip, I book another one!
I come from a small city in the North of Portugal (Viana do Castelo), but I've always been curious and adventurous growing up. I already lived in Italy, Ireland and France, but currently I made my dream come true and I'm in the pearl of the Atlantic Ocean: Madeira Island.
My favorite thing to do is to hear other people's stories and share mine. You guessed right, I do love to talk and meet new people! Funny facts about me: I have more than 400 books, around 1000 bookmarks and if I could have a superpower it would be to speak all the languages in the World.
The story behind SoulRise Travel
Traveling is not only discovering the World, but also myself.
Two years ago, I came as a tourist to Madeira and completely fell in love with this paradise. The six days I drove up and down the mountains, the waterfalls and the little unique villages made me feel like the luckiest girl. I got such an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness that I cried several times of happiness, but mostly on this special place called São Vicente.
Right there, I realized that I wanted to help others discover that feeling of finding your happy place. I started writing Travel Guides and, in the beginning of 2023, I became a certified Travel Coach by The Travel Coach Network.
My mission is to truly connect and listen to your Soul to find where she wants to go. I want to inspire you and guide you just like Earth inspires me every day.
